Is it really the thought that counts?

The saying is " It's the thought that counts". With Christmas being right around the corner how many ppl really believe and live by that saying? Would you be upset if your mate did not get you a fancy expensive gift from a store but instead gave you something homemade and or heartfelt?...be honest.

  1. I would rather a homemade or heartfelt gift (can also be expensive but doesn't have to be). I haven't had very many quality men in my life, so I wasn't always privy to gifts on holidays...I'd be lucky if I got a Merry Christmas...lol. Now, I don't know if this makes me more or less sensitive to the subject but here goes my personal opinion. The Mister things about my well-being and happiness 24/7. It makes me happy with just the thought that he is thinking about me and wants to make me happy. I know that whether he spent thousands, pennies, or made the gift himself; his main thought is me and what would touch me and make me happy. I would rather him make me a card than buy something just because it has a big price tag.
